Procedure For Admission

Registration Forms will be available ON-LINE on http://www.theorchidschool.org from 3rd January 2014.
- After you complete the REGISTRATION and “SUBMIT”, you will receive the completed form by e-mail (in .pdf format) on the e-mail addresses you have filled in the application. Print TWO copies: one for submission to the school and the other for your own reference.
- You will receive a response regarding the availability status maximum within 3 working days.
- In case you do not hear from us due to technical reasons, please contact the office and speak to Ms. Gauri Gokhale:– 020-65007681/66202702.
- You will get a family meet and entrance test (If applicable) appointment from the school
- After you hear from us, you must confirm the same with the front office. Then visit the school office on the given appointment, fill up the admission form, attend the family meet and the entrance test. The results are declared to the parents by telephonic conversation within 3 working days.
- Admission form Fee is Rs. 500/- to be paid at school office, filled and duly signed by parents. This document is required for Government Records.
- Bring all necessary documents for completing the form.
- Refer to the list given above for the documents needed for admission.
- If you do not attend the given appointment, its stands cancelled.
- If you are not a resident of Pune, you can go ahead with the registration process, but the further admission process takes place as and when you come to school (Admissions given as per availability of seats). You can also explore the option of provisional admission, only for those classes which has vacancy (Details for the same mentioned below)

School Timing:The academic year for school begins from April 2014 for classes – Junior K.G. to STD X classes start in the month of June 2014. |

STD I to STD X : 8.30 am to 3.00 pm (Monday to Friday)
STD VI to STD X : Saturday School from 9 am to 1 pm (2 Saturday’s in a month) |

Admission Schedule |
- Response from the School office regarding availability or waiting list status within 3 working days.
- Response from parents for the above if seat available: Within 3 working days after receiving e-mail from school after registration.

Finalization of Admissions
- After the Entrance test & Family meet, the admission stands confirmed
- No admission is final till we receive the latest report card and Transfer Certificate.

Admission Withdrawal Process |
- The process is effective only with written communication. Either a written application or via mail, in case of emergency. Telephonic messages will not be considered as authentic.
- Written application to be given before the due date of school fees to the school office along with the ‘Original Refundable Deposit Certificate’ (If applicable) or the Challan receipt as proof.
- If the parent does not have a copy of Deposit Certificate / Challan at the time of withdrawal, they need to submit an affidavit for claiming the deposit refund.
- Transfer Certificate form to be filled which is given from school office and should be duly signed by both the parents as signed on the admission form.
- The form once certified as ‘No Dues’ from Class Teacher, Library & Accounts Office is further processed for producing the ‘Transfer Certificate’ & Refundable Deposit Cheque (if applicable) within 10 school office working days.
- If the withdrawal of admission is applied after the due date of school fees, the parent is liable to pay the respective installment and late fee if applicable and only then the withdrawal application is taken for further process.
- If you apply for withdrawal after payment of school fees, there is no refund for the same.

Details for Provisional Admission |
- This process is only for those parents who are seeking provisional admission (who are unable to come in person for the admission process)
- Provisional admission is only for classes that have limited vacancies.
- Via this process seat can be kept on hold for your ward.
- For classes that have enough seats, provisional admission is not applicable. Admission formalities can be completed as and when you come to school.
Process for Obtaining Provisional Admission:
- Register Online.
- School Authority mails you the further process of provisional admission
- Someone on your behalf (family member/colleague, friend etc) should come and complete few formalities.
- Submit Registration form.
- Buy admission form & submit documents and pay necessary fees.
- Pay One –time admission fees Rs. 50,000/-
- The Admission is confirmed only when the entrance test and family meet happens as and when you come to school.
If you cancel the admission due to some reason, 50% of the one- time admission fee is refunded back i.e. Rs. 25000/-
- If school cancels admission due to unforeseen circumstances (very unlikely) like non availability of seat, cannot keep the seat on hold any longer, then in that particular case we refund the full amount back i.e. Rs. 50,000/-
- This admission process must get completed at the earliest for the child to benefit the learning process.
- Parents to come for further process of admission latest by 1st August 2014 beyond which the provisional admission cannot be extended, unless with special permission from the principal.

Hi Madhurie, I am looking for Grade I admission for 2015-16. My son is already going to Indira Kids. I am confused between Orchid, Vibgyor High and Indira National School. I have heard that in Indira national the strenght of sutdents per class is 45 to 50. Whereas other schools has decent 25 to 35 students per class. I would appretiate ur elp to guide me in this regard. Thanks, Vasudha
