How I caught Bharatskills Internship Fraud Racket Pune Chandigarh Mumbai
By Madhurie Singh, June 27, 2025

The Story
I received a message. It had my son’s name. His exact college registration number. No spelling mistake. No weird formatting. Just a neat little message that made me think — Wow! The college is really helping kids get internships now?
There was a link.
https://tinyurl.com/bharatskillz
The moment I saw the link, something inside me paused. “TinyURL?” That’s odd. Not a college or company domain. My antenna went up. But… curiosity got the better of me. I clicked.
It opened a Google Form.
Unprofessional. No mention of the college. No official email.
Just one goal: collect as many student numbers and parent contacts as possible.
Still, I filled it in. Out of sheer curiosity.
I didn’t give my mobile number — gave my office number.

The Call That Confirmed Everything
Soon after, a call came.
From this number: +91 8178198565
I picked it up. And just from the first “Hello,”
I KNEW.
This was a fraud.
But I let him talk. I wanted to see how far he’d go.
“How did you get my number?” I asked.
“You must have filled out our form, ma’am.”
“Before that, how did you send me WhatsApp message? Who gave you my number?” I insisted.
He smoothly replied, “We are in touch with colleges, ma’am. They share details for internships.”
Really? Without consent?
Then came the pitch.
- Internship is online.
- First, your child undergoes two months of paid training.
- Then, if selected, resumes go to companies like… wait for it…
IBM.
IBM??
My son is studying Digital Marketing, not Computer Science.
Why would IBM — a tech company — want a marketing intern from college?
He replied confidently, “IBM also does digital marketing.”
Sure, maybe they outsource it to agencies.
But they’re not hiring interns via random Google Forms.
I Kept Digging
I asked,
“Share names or numbers of students who’ve done internships via your company.”
“No ma’am, privacy issues,” he replied.
Oh? Then how did you get my son’s name and number if privacy is so sacred?
I then asked, “What’s the fee?”
He said ₹10,000.
I laughed.
Then he lowered it: “You can pay ₹5,000 first. Balance next month.”
Classic bait.
When I pointed out how fishy this was, he said —
“We are a respected government-approved body, just Google bharatskills.gov.in.”
I said, “Your link has a ‘Z’ in it, not ‘S’. bharatskillz. It’s NOT the government site.”
He had no comeback.
Just said,
“Ma’am, you may be smart. But thousands of students are paying ₹10,000.”
And that’s when I knew —
this is how they run their racket.
Send a WhatsApp.
Use real names and IDs.
Put a form.
Pretend you’re linked to colleges.
And start collecting ₹10,000 per parent.
Here’s What I Found
🟥 Fraud Form – https://tinyurl.com/bharatskillz
🟥 Fraud Number – +91 8178198565
🟥 Fake Placement List – Students “placed” in IBM for ₹20,000
🟥 WhatsApp Scam Messages – Using student data + false promises
🟥 Zero official IDs – No registration, no government seal, no verified details
Parents, Listen.
If you receive a message like this — STOP. Don’t click. Don’t pay.
And if you already did, raise it with the college.
They need to know their student data is being misused because someone from the college has shared the data of students with these fraudsters.
I’ll be sharing screenshots, call recording (if possible), and the exact messages in the comments/reply.
And if you’re a student reading this —
🚫 Real internships don’t come in a Google Form.
✅ They come after hard work, college coordination, or verified portals.
Let’s make sure no parent or child falls into this ₹10,000 trap again.
Forward this post to your school/college parent groups.
